The Bottom-Up Approach to Business Valuation is an analytical tool used in business valuation modelling. Under the bottom-up approach, valuers commence with a large number of databases made possible by the existence of large databases of corporate and financial data which enables valuation analysts to grasp a good understanding of the industry and markets. By taking advantage of the availability of the large databases containing financial and corporate information on business entities, valuers can disaggregate data and estimate the intrinsic value of the business entity under consideration.
