A Business Valuation Report is a report prepared by qualified business valuators. A business valuation report normally contains the estimated fair market value of the business entity arrived at by the valuator after going through the analytical process taking all factors and prevailing conditions into consideration. A standard business valuation report contains the valuation date, the purpose of the valuation, the conclusion of value, the methods applied and the preferred method together with a justification for the choice of the method, internal analysis of the business, external analysis (economy, industry, market, regulatory environment, etc), normalisation of financial statements, etc. Such reports also include limiting conditions (detailing the circumstances under which the valuation conclusion apply or will not apply, the qualification of the valuator, etc.
